There are farmer’s markets popping up everywhere in the spring, but where can you go to shop for fresh produce and homemade goodies during the cold season?

Carmel’s Winter Market is just the thing! Held each Saturday at Carmel’s City Center, the Carmel Winter Market is just 20 minutes southeast from RoseLake Estates.

This festive winter marketplace consistently features 15-20 vendors from around the Indy area. Most items are home made or home grown. The market takes place every Saturday through March 19th from 9 a.m. to noon, and the surrounding communities are welcome to attend.

The Winter Market is held at 719 Hanover Place on the interior of Carmel City Center, located on the southwest corner of City Center Drive and Rangeline Road. Parking is available on plaza level (accessible from City Center Drive) and in the underground garage (accessible from Rangeline Road).

You can purchase winter produce, locally pressed flavored oils, chocolates, homemade pies, cakes, cookies and breads, sandwiches, and all sorts of other homemade items. The following vendors are frequent participators during the 2015-2016 season:

  • A Taste of Philly
  • Amazing Potato Chip Company
  • Artisano’s Oils & Spices, Becker Farms
  • Chocolate for the Spirit
  • Cooking Greek
  • Grabow Orchard & Bakery
