At Rose Lake Estate Homes, we want you and your family to feel safe and secure in your home.

It’s good to know that manufactured homes are among the safest housing choices available today. According to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, all aspects of the manufactured home construction process are controlled by federal HUD laws. All technicians, craftsmen and assemblers work as a building team and are professionally supervised. And all aspects of construction are continually inspected by a professionally trained third-party inspector as well.

Federal laws also require all new manufactured homes to have smoke detectors, escape windows, and limited combustible materials around furnaces, water heaters and kitchen ranges.

All new manufactured homes have been engineered for wind safety and energy safety, based on the geographic region and state in which they are sold. So if and when a heavy storm blows through the Pendleton area, you can feel confident that you and your family is safe from high winds and most storm debris.

In case of a tornado watch or warning, Rose Lake Estate management advises you to take all precautions recommended by the Indiana Weather Bureau and NOAA (National Weather Service).

If you have time to plan in advance, however, seeking shelter in a nearby building or community shelter may be the better (and more comfortable) solution as you wait for the storm to pass by. If you are uncertain of the nearest shelter, ask your Rose Lake Estate office for help.

Your safety and wellbeing is our number one concern.
