Because we’ve been family owned for more than 30 years, we have lots and lots of mature trees in our neighborhood. And that makes for some truly spectacular fall foliage, as our homeowners can attest.

With so many sugar and silver maples and huge oak trees, we’re looking forward to the majestic show of yellows, oranges and reds we usually get. Fall is especially beautiful at RoseLake Estates!

Naturally, after nature’s colorful show, all those leaves are very plentiful as they come tumbling down. Here are some ecological and RoseLake management-approved ways to remove your leaves after they fall:

  • Got a mulching mower? Mow over the leaves on your lawn. The small bits of dried leaves will work themselves right into the soil by spring and provide great soil nourishment come spring.
  • Got a rake (or a leaf blower)? Round those leaves up and bag them. Be sure to use a biodegradable paper leaf bag, which will be picked up by the trash.
  • If you don’t have a ton of leaves, rake or blow leaves under and around bushes. They will decompose over winter while providing warmth and protection for your flowerbeds and bush root systems.

Whatever you do with your fall leaves, we know you’ll help keep our RoseLake Estates community looking great!
